Description: gold plated base metal, rhinestones, enamelling, faux pearls. Old pin conversion
Marked: D------- 9; the pin conversion has removed the Trifari mark (on the pin clip), and the lower pin anchor has been put on top of the stamp of the patent number (which would read on two lines, if we could see it 'Des Pat No xxxxxx9')
Reference: The corresponding patent (from this series ending in a 9) is reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, dated 1940. This patent was used for several pieces in the series; the hexagonal arrangement of pearls is the main resemblance here
