Temperature Gradient from Outside Air, Across Glass Panes, to Interior Air for 24-hour Period on Clear Day

This graph plots exterior air, exterior glass surface, interior glass surface, and interior air temperatures during a 24-hour period. HOBO data spans from 00:07 on Thursday 22 February 2001 through 23:55 on Thursday 22 February 2001. This particular day was generally clear. The plot shows the temperature gradient that occurs across this building envelope assembly and the effect of the glazing assembly as an environmental separator.

Questions: Why is the peak temperature such a short-lived event; what does this graph say about the performance (high, low, indifferent) of the glazing; can the type of glazing be surmised from these data?
