RH in Classroom 004 versus Atrium and Outdoor Air
This graph shows relative humidity in the classroom versus relative humidity in the adjacent atrium space and ambient outdoor air. The measurement period is one week (from 11:28 on Thursday, 15 February 2001 to 11:58 on Thursday, 22 February). The HOBO RH sensors are located as shown on the title page for this study. Daily cycles of relative humidity are clearly visible in the outdoor air data. The atrium is a very large volume space, mechanically cooled, with low and transient occupancy. Classroom occupancy varies from day to day.

Question: What do you think accounts for the "crossover" of the classroom and atrium RH conditions as the data progress from left to right? Why might the atrium relative humidity be more variable than the classroom RH?
